Biography

Originaire de Rome, Laura fait des études littéraires à l’université La Sapienza puis rentre à l’école supérieure d’audiovisuel de Toulouse (ESAV). A Paris, elle se tourne vers l’univers de l’art contemporain et travaille sur le projet TRANS 305.
En 2009, LASA, collectif artistique indépendant, l’invite à participer à la 10ème Biennale d’Art Contemporain de La Havane (Cuba) avec Hoy como ayer, documentaire poétique et intimiste sur la vie de San Agustin, quartier périphérique de La Havane.
Accrochée à sa caméra, Laura s’attache à filmer le réel. Elle écrit et réalise aujourd’hui des documentaires de création indépendants et pour la télévision française. Ses différentes expériences dans les domaines de l’art contemporain et de l’art vidéo nourrissent continuellement sa recherche et son travail.

Originally from Rome, Laura studied literature at La Sapienza University before entering the Ecole Supérieure d’Audiovisuel (ESAV) in Toulouse (France). In Paris, she discovered the world of contemporary art and worked with Stefan Shankland on the TRANS 305 project.
In 2009, LASA, an independent art group, invited her to attend the 10th Biennial of Contemporary Art in La Havana (Cuba) with Hoy como ayer, an intimate and poetic documentary about the life of San Agustin, a suburb of La Havana.
Clinging to her camera, Laura is devoted to film reality. She writes and directs documentaries, independently or for French TV channels. Her experiences in the fields of contemporary and video art continually fuel her research and her work.
